Cyprus public holidays are no different from anywhere else. Shops, businesses, banks and real estate agents are CLOSED. You will find small shops and restaurants open, but only in the tourist areas. If you are caught out for ANY reason, purchase a copy of the Cyprus Weekly newspaper (from a shop which is open - smiles) listing emergency contact details including: doctors, chemists, police stations and hospitals.
