Cyprus Property Title Deeds Fees - When And How Are They Paid?

Posted on July 30, 2012

Cyprus property title deed fees are paid when the title deed is transferred to the buyers name at the local land registry office in Cyprus

Before the transfer takes place, you need to have your lawyer in Cyprus check that the title deed is free and of any debts and all local taxes have been paid; water, electricity, local government taxes etc and you have a tax clearance certificate from the Cyprus Tax office. Having completed all the checks and having your tax clearance certificate, the seller and the buyer would go to the local land registry office in Cyprus together with the contract of sale and your ID's and or passports and the office will arrange to transfer the title deed to the new owners name and AT THAT TIME THE BUYER MUST PAY THE TITLE DEED TRANSFER FEES TO THE LAND REGISTRY.

If you are not sure of any of these procedures, please contact a Cyprus Lawyer.
